Nairn is a small coastal town that boasts two Championship Golf Courses, one of which hosted the 1999 Walker Cup. It is ideally situated for both summer and winter holidays with wide sandy beaches and pleasant riverside walks. The waters of the Moray Firth are home to one of only two dolphin colonies in the UK. These fascinating and playful creatures regularly visit Nairn and can be seen from several vantage points on the shore. A definite 'Must See' for all the family, but remember to be patient, these are wild, not performing dolphins. |

Nairn is steeped in history and is closely linked with the Battle of Culloden, the final land battle on mainland Britain. Just 12 miles away, Culloden is where the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745 ended when Bonnie Prince Charlie's Highland army was routed by the Hanoverians. | ![]() |
